Isamaya Beauty launches seductive Lips campaign

Recently, Isamaya Beauty unveiled its new “Lips” campaign, which coincided with the 2023 Valentine’s Day holiday. The campaign, which features kinky makeup, provocative latex, and risqué colour palettes, was shot by the self-taught Malaysian photographer Zhong Lin, who captured the eccentric and sensual nature of the campaign, reinventing traditional ideas of beauty in a society that is often torn by convention. Cindy Anning, Fashion Journalism student at London College of Fashion says: “It’s refreshing to see a brand mix sex, pleasure and beauty in such a unique way. I love the difference.”

At the core of the Lips campaign are two lipsticks, a cardinal red satin and a black shimmer water balm, both uniquely housed in a controversial chrome penis. Priced at £80, these lipsticks offer a sheer and juicy shine, with the added option to refill the vessel once it runs out, making it a sustainable and reusable option for makeup enthusiasts, artists, or for those that are simply interested in the multipurpose packaging.

In an interview with Perfect Magazine, Isamaya Ffrench spoke about her journey to becoming a makeup artist and how it led her to create her own beauty brand. “It’s important to be confident in yourself,” she said. “My favourite experience so far has been seeing the audience’s response to concepts we were told not to pursue because they’re too risky.”

The Lips collection is available to shop at several high-end retailers, including the Selfridges London store, Dover Street Market, and the original website Isamaya Beauty’s innovative and unorthodox approach to makeup is setting the brand apart from its competition and redefining traditional notions of beauty.
