Longline blazers: new summer staple

The blazer has long been a part of both men and women’s wardrobes, however, over the years it has undergone a number of transformations. From traditional suiting to cropped styles, the style has taken on a number of new forms and for spring/summer 2022 the way to have your blazer is longline. A report by WGSN has revealed that both high end designers and high street brands will be swapping traditional suiting styles for a longer and sometimes more relaxed fit.

The longline blazer can be seamlessly combined with everything from shorts to trousers and event dresses and skirts making it a new wardrobe staple. The versatility of the longline blazer also allows you to create a smaller capsule collection of pieces that can be mixed and matched with each other. But why wait for summer? _shift has selected some of our favourite longline blazers to get ahead of this trend.
