High street retailer Mango has launched an eco-friendly, sustainable collection titled Committed, for men and women
High Street retailer Mango has taken a step towards the future of sustainable fashion by launching a 45-piece collection, called Committed.
Set at a slightly higher price point than its main collections with pieces coming in at £20-£100, the Committed range consists of garments for both men and women, all of which are made from premium sustainable fabrics.
Communications director Guillermo Corominas told British Vogue: “Mango has been working in different initiatives related to sustainability for many years now and this collection seemed like a natural step.”
“We have carefully selected the materials and suppliers we wanted to work with,” he continued, “and it has been more or less planned at the same time as the rest of collections of the season. It’s a thoughtfully crafted collection for women and men featuring fashion pieces committed to environmental sustainability.”
Mango joins other high street brands in sustainable fashion ventures, such as H&M whose Conscious collections have continually proved to be successful, and Urban Outfitters whose Renewal line encompasses vintage and re-worked pieces.
The Committed collection is available in store and online now.
