Vintage Paradise to open East London store

Shop the thrift experts on Brock Lane from October 11

London thrift fashion specialists Vintage Paradise is set to open its first high street store on October 11 in Brick Lane. The retailer took to its Instagram and revealed it will host an in-store event for its grand opening on Friday October 15.

The sustainable brand specialises in selecting and sourcing vintage and second-hand womenswear pieces, curating a Y2K nostalgia-core store fit for the early 2000s – think vintage corsets, deadstock Miss Sixty denim, and silky slip dresses.

Vintage Paradise has created a name for itself being one of the first vintage brands to utilise influencer marketing, establishing close long-term relationships with fashion influencers such as Olivia Grace Herring and Lara Adkins. In doing so, the brand has further honed into Gen Z and fashion’s current obsession with Y2K and nostalgia.

So what can we expect from the grand opening? Rackia Mchatta-Nginilla, owner of Vintage Paradise, revealed that the first 100 customers on the day will enjoy a free gift. She added that all customers on the day will receive a discount with their purchase for the next time they shop in store.

Mchatta-Nginilla told _shift that the future holds further ambitions for Vintage Paradise: “We want to have our own brand.” The new store seems to be just the beginning for Vintage Paradise.
