Organic beauty is here to stay

Organic products are good for the planet and good for your skin – it's a win win situation

Organic and planet-friendly products are becoming more sought after. The beauty industry has an abundance of brands that are trying to do their part for the environment and ultimately, our skin. The planet friendly products trend is here to stay and us millennials are happy about it.

The interest in the ingredients within beauty products is becoming more common. The movement towards a healthier lifestyle brought together with raised awareness of sustainability has contributed to personal attitudes and impacted everyday spending habits.

This is true among millennials, according to research commissioned by the Organic Trade Board last year, they reported that millennials are now the ‘most engaged and active’ organic consumer demographic.

According to WGSN, creating environmentally-friendly products continues to be a key concern for the beauty world. The Body Shop is leading the way by opening a new ingredient hub in London, testing existing products and adjusting them to reduce their environmental impact.

Plant colouring is fast becoming a popular trend amongst beauty brands. Aroma Zone has launched its own line of bio-sourced nail varnish, using plant-derived solvents that are 100% vegan. Phytoene is a company that extracts all valuable micro-nutrients from plant waste, which then can be used in beauty products as essential oils.

There really is no time like the present to adopt a beauty regime that is totally natural. With so many innovative products and brands that support sustainability, it couldn’t be easier. However, with that being said, it can be difficult to know where to begin. Below are some brands that will help you achieve great skin whilst being kind to the planet.
