We caught up with exhibition curator Rosemary Harden
With 350 pairs of shoes on display, Shoephoria! showcases the evolution of shoes over the past 300 years. Among the exhibition highlights are 36 pairs of Manolo Blahnik shoes and footwear worn by cultural icons such as Ginger Rogers. The exhibition also throws light on the history of footwear, with the oldest pair of shoes in the collection dating back to the 1600s.
Following the exhibition’s long-awaited opening on May 18, curator Rosemary Harden speaks to _shift about the concept behind Shoephoria! plus what to expect and the impact of lockdown on the collection. Tickets are available to book online.
