Savage X Fenty Sport launch

Rihanna is ready to dive into another category of clothing with Savage x Fenty Sport. The lingerie brand has announced its expansion into activewear with a line-up of eye-catching pieces, available from November 9. “I want people to feel sexy, carefree and powerful when they put these pieces on,” says Rihanna via a press release.

The new collection is seen to reflect the core values of the brand, aimed at inspiring inclusivity and confidence. Ranging from sizes XS-4XL new pieces feature bold, colourful pieces including low and medium impact bras, high-waisted leggings, jumpsuits and a bodysuit. Rihanna added in the press release, “We wanted to push the boundaries with how we define sport and sportswear.”

Savage x Fenty has newly appointed Adam Selman as its executive design director of sport and lounge. Known for his playful and provocative designs, Selman has collaborated with Rihanna for many years creating iconic looks, including her dress for the 2014 Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards. “Rihanna and I have a rich history of working together – when I learned about the opportunity at Savage X Fenty, I knew I wanted to play a role in the new activewear category,” Selman says via the press release.

The visually striking Savage X Fenty sport campaign features new brand ambassadors including supermodel and activist Precious Lee and Gen Z idol Avani Gregg. “I’m so excited to be a part of this new extension of Rihanna’s world of Savage X Fenty. It’s about feeling liberated enough to fully embrace your authentic self – your highest self,” says Precious Lee via a press release for the collection.

The Savage X Fenty Sport collection will be available for purchase on November 9 with early access for Xtra VIP members to shop select styles starting November 1 at www.SavageX.com and in retail stores. Prices range from approximately £27 to £76.
