The accessory comeback of the year
We’re only halfway through fashion month and the trends that we’ll soon be wanting to emulate are flooding in. The SHIFT team has already picked up on a trend that we predict will be one of the biggest this spring.
The choker has been in style for some time now, and following that there’s a new neck accessory that you should welcome this Spring. The neckerchief made it’s comeback last year but it’s even stronger as a street style trend this season.
So it’s time to channel your inner flight attendant and embrace this fashion forward look. Take inspiration from these street style pictures taken at fashion weeks from New York to Copenhagen.
An outfit based on classic essentials like a shirt and blazer can easily be glammed up by adding a neckerchief in a different colour.
On the colder days counting down to leather jackets and sandals, the neck scarf will keep you warm while still looking chic.
Don’t be afraid to mix and match colours and patterns, less isn’t always more.
The classic bandana makes for an excellent statement accessory. Look for materials such as silk to add a feminine touch.
Mix and match prints and graphics like Leandra Medine to create something a bit funkier.
